FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: radio temperature measurement is performed transabdominally at 18 symmetrical points in the iliac region on both sides - 9 points on each side. The average temperature value is obtained, which is taken as standard. The standard temperature value is compared to the temperature in each of the 18 points. The excess relative to the standard is determined. If the value of this index is 0.5°C or less, absence of focal hyperthermia in ovarian projection, an no signs of malignancy are determined. If the value of this index is 0.6-1.0°C, unexpressed focal hyperthermia is detected, boundary tumour process is suspected preceding the cancer development, menopausal hormone therapy is not performed. If the value of this index is 1.1°C, or more, expressed focal hyperthermia is determined in the projection of one or both ovaries, high probability of malignant tumour process is believed, and menopausal hormone therapy is contraindicated.

EFFECT: harmless painless non-invasive screening test to register undetectable disease phase of hidden occurring malignant ovarian tumours long before clinical manifestation of cancer process in the process of menopausal hormone replacement therapy.
