FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: method of using a false heat trap is based on detection of a controlled element of attack with a heat homing head, determination of the current aircraft speed in accordance with which they control the thrust and burn time of the heat trap, ignite an expulsion charge and thermal substance of heat traps, emit a heat trap and stabilise its flight in the required direction, start up the jet engine of the heat trap at a desired time and carry out its mission under the thrust force of the jet engine at a desired speed. After the start-up of the jet engine of the heat trap, manually or automatically, a command to increase the flight speed of the aircraft is generated.
EFFECT: increased protection efficiency of the aircraft.
