FIELD: active protection devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft ammunition for protection of aircraft from guided missile of "surface-to-air" and "air-to-air" class. Active protection element of an aircraft from controlled missiles comprises a metal sleeve with a striking module of a fragmentation type, an igniter and a closed plug. According to the invention, the striking module of the fragmentation type and the igniter are installed in a cylindrical body, the outer diameter of which is equal to the inner diameter of the sleeve, in the lower part of the housing there is a nozzle unit with a stabilization device, and in the upper part – a fairing, between the striking module and the nozzle block there is a solid fuel engine, a fuse of a remote type is located under the fairing.
EFFECT: high efficiency of protecting an aircraft from guided “surface-to-air” and “air-to-air” missiles with a homing head of various types by enabling the active protection element to be blasted at the design point of space on the trajectory of the guided missile.
