SUBSTANCE: gasket (11) for placing on the heat exchanger plate (8) and the heat exchanger assembly is proposed. Gasket includes the circular section (52), disposed to enclose the opening (24) of the heat exchanger plate. The inner edge (56) of the gasket circular section forms the area (58), containing the reference point (80), coinciding with the central point (C) of the largest imaginary circle (82), which can be installed within the area. The gasket differs in the fact, that the area has a shape, formed by several angular points of an imaginary plain geometrical figure (72), from which at least one is displaced from the circle arc (92), and the same number of smoothly curved lines (74, 76, 78 ), connecting the angular points, from which the first angular point (66) of the angular points is located at the first distance (d1) from the reference point, the second (68) of the angular points is located at the closest distance to the first angular point in the clockwise direction and at the second distance (d2) from the reference point, and the third (70) of the angular points is located at the closest distance to the first angular point in a counterclockwise direction and at the third distance (d3) from the reference point.
EFFECT: reduction of wear.
