FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method of reducing the condensate in the charge air cooler (80) in the engine system (10) is that during the engine operation, a boost pressure regulator (26) is tuned in the bypass path around the turbine (62) located in the engine outlet channel (48). The regulator (26) is adjusted in response to the condensate forming conditions in the charge air cooler (80) when the intake air pressure measured upstream of the throttle (21) and downstream of the charge air cooler (80) in the engine intake passage (42), more than the required level. The required level is based on the requirement of engine torque (10). Versions of method for reducing the condensate in charge air cooler in engine system are disclosed.
EFFECT: preventing the build-up of pressure at the intake in front of the throttle and preventing the formation of condensate in the charge air cooler.
