FIELD: physics, measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to active sensors network in the control system. For this purpose, active sensors which may be fixed infrastructure sensors provide information about the detection of presence to a distributed lighting system. Active sensors communicate by transmitting probe signals. Tranmitting of probe signals may lead to cross-interference which can vary in time. Cross-interference is detected, and then it can be avoided by determining the difference between the signals received during the first portion of time interval, and the signals received during the second portion of time interval. For this probe signals containing two non-zero pulse is transmitted to the relevant portions of time interval. Applications are, for example, active presence sensors used in lighting control indoors and outdoors.

EFFECT: invention allows to avoids interference between the sensors.
