FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery industry. The agricultural baling machine comprises a pre-compression chamber and a baling chamber. The pre-compression chamber is made with the ability to collect crop material, forming a layer in a periodic manner from the said crop material and to eject the layer to the compression chamber in the first segment of the compression chamber. The compression chamber comprises a piston adapted to reciprocate in the compression chamber and compression of the layers of crop material in a bale. In the compression chamber there is at least one optical sensor of the bale length for measuring the length of the bale. At least one optical sensor of the bale length is located in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the inner wall of the compression chamber, and at a distance from the said plane of the inner wall of the compression chamber, which provides an accurate and direct measurement of the bale displacement.
EFFECT: invention enables to measure accurately the bale displacement.
