SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a copolymer for composition of antifouling coating comprising a copolymer (A) which contains a group of formula (1) in the side chain and at least one group from a group of formula (2) and a group of formula (3) at the end of the chain, where the copolymer (A) is a copolymer obtained by polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomer (a) containing a group of formula (1) and ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b), copolymerizable with the monomer (a) in the presence of a polymerization initiator 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate, or 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylperoxyneodecanoate. The invention also relates to a composition of antifouling coating comorising the mentioned copolymer and antifouling agent, to a method of producing the copolymer for the composition of antifouling coating comprising the following stages: polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomer (a) containing a group of formula (1) and ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b), copolymerizable with the monomer (a) in the presence of the polymerization initiator 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate, or 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylperoxyneodecanoate, wherein formula (1) is , R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different, and each represents a C3-6 alkyl group branched in α-position or a phenyl group, and to a coated article having antifouling film coating on the surface, formed using the mentioned composition of antifouling coating.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a copolymer for the composition of antifouling coating to form environmentally-safe antifouling film coating and the composition of antifouling coating improves the film coating water resistance and ability to retain the property of stable dissolution and antifouling effect of the film coating without the occurrence of film defects such as cracks during the long-term use in seawater.
