FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: antifouling coating composition contains rosin as binder and a polymer, which contains a salt group, obtained using a method which involves stages for reacting acid, containing an aliphatic, aromatic or alkylaryl hydrocarbon group, containing at least 5 with a monomer, which contains amino- or phosphine groups in which: Y is O or NH, Z is N or P, R1 is a hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group, R2 is a divalent hydrocarbon group C2-C12, R3 and R4 are independently a hydrogen atom or C1-C6 alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group, obtaining a monomer which contains an amino group salt and/or phosphine group salt, where the said salt contains anionic acid residue as a counterion, with an aliphatic, aromatic or alkylaryl hydrocarbon group, which contains at least 5 carbon atoms, and polymerisation of at least one type of the said monomer, containing salt.
EFFECT: antifouling coating composition is used for protecting underwater manmade structures, such as ship hulls, buoys, drilling platforms, oil rigs and pipes.
