SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for evaluating parameters of stray electromagnetic radiation from elements of computing equipment when determining electromagnetic compatibility, and can also be used in detecting process leakage channels due to parameters of stray electromagnetic radiation by determining reconnaissance accessibility areas. The method comprises, from a sequence of pulses circulating in an analysed interface at different operating modes, selecting and accumulating instantaneous values of a mixture of a received pulse signal and noise at time intervals of the rise and fall of pulse fronts, then based on the obtained data, performing orthogonal discrete decomposition of the accumulated array of discrete readings and calculating the ratio of decomposition coefficients, which are used to determine the presence and values of amplitude frequency components in the spectrum of the emitted stray electromagnetic radiation.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining amplitude components of the spectrum of stray electromagnetic radiation.
