FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to reflection of electromagnetic waves, in particular radio waves, and even more particularly to preventing the effect of radio waves reflection by structures, such as facades of buildings, on the space surrounding those structures. In particular this relates to the effect of radio waves reflected by buildings located in zones of airports on correct operation of radio measuring systems. Diffraction device for installation on a building facade (11) or on any other reflecting wall exposed to electromagnetic radiation emitted by a source located at a distance from the building contains multiple tubular resonance elements (12) arranged on the said building facade. Said resonance elements are arranged in fact in parallel on the said building facade (11) in order to form a diffraction grating and are oriented in the direction in fact perpendicular to a plane specified by vectors of propagation of incident and reflected electromagnetic waves, herewith each resonance element (12) is made with the possibility of forming an inductance-capacitance (L-C) resonator made able to reradiate a wave corresponding to the incident wave subject to a phase shift, and a unit of resonance elements is arranged so, that the incident wave is deflected in the preferable direction. Advantage of the diffraction grating formed in such a way is that it is not as thick as existing devices.
EFFECT: total structure is both lighter and less deformable.
