SAMPLE PROCESSING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B01L9/06 G01N35/02 B01L3/00

Abstract RU 2617488 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: system contains test tubes (4). Each test tube (4) has a hollow body (41), a closed bottom (42) and an open top (43) to access the sample contained in the test tube (4). The system includes the microplate (1) containing, at least, one separate lattice insert (2) and a frame (3). The lattice insert (2) has many cells (21). Each cell (21) contains one or more lateral walls (22) limiting the through hole (201) on the sides, which has an upper hole (202) and a lower hole (203) and passes between the upper hole (202) and the lower hole (203). The frame (3) limits the through hole (35) on the sides, with the dimensions that allow access to the top and the bottom of each cell (21) by the fixed, at least, one lattice insert (2) and that allow to move such a test tube (4) to each cell (21) and through each upper hole (202) and lower hole (203) of the through hole (201) therefrom. The frame limits, at least, one separate lattice insert only on the sides of the inner walls that limit one through hole. The frame (3) or a single lattice insert (2) or both of them contain fasteners (23, 31) for a firm attachment of the lattice insert (2) to the frame (3). A separate insert (2) contains stacking elements (24, 25) to connect with the lattice insert (2) of, at least, one other separate lattice insert (28) with the formation of a stack (26) from the connected lattice inserts (2, 28) placed one above the other. The stacking elements (24, 25) contain, at least, one elastic coupling element (24) protruding down the dimensions of the corresponding lattice insert (2, 28) and, at least, one socket (25) placed in such a way as to fit the elastic coupling element (24) of the above lattice insert (28) of the stack (26). The stack of the lattice inserts (26) is attached to the frame (3) by the fasteners (23, 31) of the frame (3) and the upper lattice insert (2, 28) of the stack (26). The cells (21) of the lattice inserts (2, 28) of the stack (26) are combined forming the combined through holes, along which the test tube (4) can move. The frame (3) has a height (33) of the insert exceeding or equal to the full height (29) of the stack (26).

EFFECT: ability to use the inserts with a variety of cells of the increased quantity on the standard microplates while maintaining the structural reliability of the cells.
