FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: system (210) for the intercooler comprises an engine intercooler (80), incuding a plurality of regulated and unregulated cooling tubes (T1-T12) for the charge air flow and the air flow control device inside the intercooler. Air flow control device inside the intercooler (80) is designed to selectively provide the charge air flow rate from the compressor through each individual cooling tube of the regulated cooling tubes (T6-T12) either substantially equal to zero or at a level above a predetermined minimum flow rate value in accordance with predetermined engine operating conditions. Air flow control device comprises a plurality of valves (F6-F12), each is designed to selectively provide or restrict access to the one or more relevent regulated cooling tubes (T6-T12). Intercooler (80) comprises refrigerant coolant passages for the flow of refrigerant coolant through the plurality of regulated and unregulated cooling tubes (T1-T12). Refrigerant coolant constitute one or more of ambient air, water or chemical refrigerant coolant. Invention discloses the version of the intercooler system, intercooler and control method for accumulation of condensate in the intercooler.
EFFECT: ensuring maintenance of a flow rate in each individual cooling tube, where condensate can be accumulated, above a predetermined minimum value.
