FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method to control engine system when identifying low performance of boost air cooler components consists in determination of low performance of damper (114), radiator lining (80) based on temperature drop the boost air cooler (18) by means of a controller (12). It is indicated that the damper (114), the radiator lining is in non-command position if the temperature drop is different than the expected temperature drop. Engine torque (10) or fan operation rate (92) for engine cooling is controlled in response to certain low performance of the radiator lining damper operation. The variants of the method to control engine system when identifying low performance of boost air cooler components are disclosed.
EFFECT: reduction of low performance of the boost air cooler or the engine.
