SUBSTANCE: active zone contains power generating channels, combined into hexahedral beams, which are set with relative offset. The displacement in millimetres is determined by the formula:

where S1 - step of installation of a beam of electrogenerating channels on a regular triangular lattice, mm; S2 - step of installation of the power generating channel in the beam, mm; N is the number of rows of power generating channels in the beam, including the central one, and the relative displacement angle is determined by the formula:

where S1 - step of setting the beam along a regular triangular grid, mm; S2 - a step of installation of electrogenerating channels in a beam, mm; N is the number of rows of power generating channels in the beam, including the central one.
EFFECT: elimination of local uneven flow of coolant passing through the active zone, equalization of its hydraulic profile by ensuring the constancy of the areas of the channels for passage of the coolant through the entire section of the core, increasing the effective neutron multiplication factor by reducing the parasitic neutron absorption by reducing the amount of structural material in the core.
