SUBSTANCE: device comprises a support element, which has a front surface, which defines the support surface, the connecting means, the locking means retainer. Connecting means connects the support element with the structure of the dashboard. The support element is movable relative to the structure of the instrument panel between the stowed and deployed positions. The locking mean is released when the manual mode is actuated for retaining the support element in the retracted and deployed positions.
