FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tyres intended to be mounted on the wheels of motorcycles with medium/large engine displacement (eg, 600 cm3 or more) and/or high power (for example, 130-140 h.p. or more). The tyre (100) for the motorcycles has a tread band (8) comprising the central annular portion (A) symmetrically disposed on either side of the equatorial plane (X-X), and two arm circumferential portions (B) located on the sides opposite in the axial direction relative to the central annular portion (A). The portion (A) has a length (M) in the axial direction, not exceeding 65% of the band (8) scan in the axial direction. Each portion (B) has a length (N) in the axial direction, not exceeding 45% of the band (8) scan in the axial direction. The band (8) comprises a plurality of grooves and slit-like drainage grooves made with the possibility to form the tread pattern. The portion (A) comprises at least two substantially longitudinal first grooves (18, 19) opposed to each other with respect to the plane (X-X) of the tyre. The portion (A) comprises at least one first slit-like drainage groove (20) and the second slit-like drainage groove (22), following one another in the circumferential direction, of which at least one is inclined relative to the plane (X-X) of the tire so as to form an angle α<60°.
EFFECT: providing the opportunity for a greater print area and, consequently, a greater adhesion to the soil and providing the safety of driving in cold areas or on slippery roads typical for the winter season, as well as adjusting for use for sport riding on motorcycles with the medium and large engine displacement.
