FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: winter tire has a tread pattern comprising two especially wide longitudinal grooves (12, 13) for creating—in working zones of a print of a tread band—central zone (L1) and two shoulder zones (L2, L3), which substantially do not depend on each other. Central zone (L1) occupies considerable part of tread band and comprises multiple blocks, following each other in direction along circumference and made with slot-like drain grooves (40) located in direction at an angle relative to tire equatorial plane. Angle of inclination of slot-like drain grooves (40) formed in blocks adjacent in direction along circumference, changes sign-wise in direction along circumference, as a result, sequences of slot-like drain grooves are formed at an angle and located at an opposite angle.
EFFECT: technical result is improved operational characteristics of the tire when driving on snow-covered and icy roads.
