FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparation of a catalyst, comprising at least the following successive steps: a) at least, preparation of a substrate containing 0.2 to 30 wt % of NU-86 zeolite and 70 to 99.8 wt % of inorganic porous matrix, at that, mass content is expressed relative to the total weight of the substrate, b) at least one step of impregnation of the said substrate obtained in step a) by at least one solution containing at least one precursor of at least one metal, selected from the group consisting of group VIII metals and group VIB metals, used alone or in a mixture, c) at least one stage of maturation, d) at least one drying step conducted at a temperature of less than 150°C, without subsequent calcining step. The invention also relates to a hydrocarbon feedstock hydrocracking method using a catalyst prepared according to the invention, by the said method of preparation.
