FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: provides a method for the regeneration of spent active charcoal. The method includes treating the waste coal in a stream of superheated steam in a rotary kiln at a temperature of 800-900°C, cooling and sieving. It is proposed to calculate the amount of spent AU constantly on the heat treatment in the furnace, taking into account the primary and residual adsorption activity of coal and the bulk density of the initial and exhausted coal.
EFFECT: possibility to regulate the volumetric loading of the furnace during the regeneration process, taking into account the coefficient of residual adsorption activity coefficient and mechanical characteristics of coal mining.
