FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption techniques and can be used to restore properties of carbon sorbents and their reuse in production. The invention is applicable to activated carbon which is used in recuperating organic solvents. The method of regenerating activated carbon involves thermal treatment in an atmosphere of flue gases at 350 - 500°C while raising temperature at a rate of 50-150°C/min and activation at 850 - 950°C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a standard product from recuperated used activated carbon.
