SUBSTANCE: kernel of fruit or of olive without its preliminary grinding is affected by carbonization, the process takes place in the medium of pyrolysis gas in the absence of oxygen. Heating rate at 200-500 C is 10-20 C/min. Then sustaining at final temperature of carbonization takes place within 20-30 min, it is followed by steam-gas activation. Mechanical strength of activated coal is 87-90 %, their summary porosity is 0.68-0.76 cm3/g.. EFFECT: increased adsorption activity and mechanical strength of activated coal; increased yield of desired product; simplified the process. 1 tbl
