FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of sludge clarification and removal from the surface of samarium-cobalt magnetic alloy includes sequential processing with imposition of ultrasonic vibrations in water solutions with inter-operational washing. Wherein the said treatment comprises sequential oxidation process, which is carried out at a temperature of 18-25°C for 3-5 minutes in a solution containing per ml: 600-700 distilled water, aqueous ammonia with ammonia mass fraction of 25% 300-350, hydrogen peroxide with 10-15 mass fraction of H2O2 30%, and clarification process which is carried out at a temperature of 18-25°C for 3-5 minutes in a solution containing per ml: hydrochloric acid with 200-250 mass fraction of 30-35% HCl, and 750-800 distilled water.
EFFECT: invention provides for sludge removal and lightening of the surface of samarium-cobalt alloys while maintaining dimensions and at the same time eliminates the magnets surface etching.
