SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding seeds to the treatment chamber in which protectant particles are applied to the seeds. Thereinafter the seeds are mixed with said particles to form treated seeds and then transported to the discharge nozzle by means of a screw with coils. The seed treatment device comprises a treatment chamber, a loading hopper for feeding the seeds and a discharge nozzle, connected thereto, a screw with coils arranged inside the treatment chamber for mixing the seeds and transporting them to the discharge nozzle, and a vibrating oscillator in the form of a cam shaft fixed outside under the treatment chamber, coaxially with it.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to increase the uniformity of application of substances on the seed surface, while reducing the time spent for seed treatment, increasing the resistance to chemical and mechanical impact, and to increase the productivity while reducing the injury of seeds by the working elements of the protectant chamber.
