FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to influence the reparative-regenerative processes in case of peripheral nerve damage during its neurorrhaphy, three wire electrodes are installed: two - into the neurorrhaphy zone above and below it at a distance of 5-6 mm from each other and one 4-pin - into the epidural space of the spine, implanting it over the segments involved into the formation of the damaged peripheral nerve, promoting it so that its contact surfaces cover all these corresponding segments of the spinal cord. The electrode wires are led to the skin surface to the source of electrical impulses. At that, electrostimulation sessions for the following structures are carried out 2 times a day for 10-15 minutes: the damaged peripheral nerve by the two wire electrodes installed in the neurorrhaphy zone, the spinal cord by the 4-pin wire electrode implanted in the epidural space of the spine and the muscular apparatus by the plate electrode, which is superimposed over the limb muscles corresponding to the segment. For this purpose, the reflex arc is activated along the efferent and afferent fibres of the damaged peripheral nerve alternately, alternating the polarity of electrodes connection during electrical stimulation sessions: in one session, two wire and plate electrodes are connected to the negative pole of the electrical impulse source, the 4-pin electrode is connected to the positive one. In another session, the polarity of the electrodes connection to the electrical impulse source is reversed.
EFFECT: acceleration of the process of damaged cells regeneration with exclusion of their secondary degeneration in the coverage of all neuronal and neuromuscular structures involved in the reflex arc formation, activation of both afferent and efferent links, optimisation of electro impulse effects with prevention of neuronal and neuromuscular structures getting used to it.
