SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the component (6) of the exhaust system (1) for the internal combustion engine (3), inter alia, for a vehicle with a housing (11) which comprises a jacket (12), two end bases (13, 14) and at least one middle base (15), the jacket (12) surrounds the cavity (18) of the housing (11) in the circumferential direction (19), the two end bases (13, 14) limit the cavity (18) on opposite ends in the axial direction (17) and are permanently connected to the jacket 12, and the middle base (15) is located axially between the end bases (13, 14) in the cavity (18) and is leaned radially against the jacket (12). The result is achieved by at least one restraint tube (22) which is embedded radially in the cavity (18) at the middle base (15), which passes through the middle base (15) and is embedded to it and which is hermetically sealed.
EFFECT: improved connection of the component to the periphery of the exhaust system.
