FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: rigid plastic custom tray comprises a base adapted to cover the remaining teeth and extend along the boundaries of mouth vestibule transitional fold, and an occlusive portion configured to be positioned over the boundary cicatricial ring of the intraoperative defect. The occlusive part consists of two hemispherical plates arranged with a 2 mm gap between them and integrally connected by 2 mm thick plastic plates, arranged radially from the hemispheres center to the periphery. The bottom hemisphere is adapted to be directed into the mouth, has a diameter exceeding the top one by 3 mm, the top one is adapted to be directed into the nasal cavity. The center of the bottom obturator hemisphere contains a hole with diameter corresponding to the dispenser cannula diameter for silicone impression material introduction. The plates are arranged to spread the silicone impression material through the gaps therebetween to the periphery in order to display annulus fibrosis boundaries.
EFFECT: invention allows to make a custom tray to obtain a function impression of the upper jaw of a patient with a postoperative defect.
