SUBSTANCE: desing of the base (A) for a food blender comprises a base housing (1), which accommodates the engine (11); and a control unit (2) comprising the first tactile control panel (21) mounted on the side wall of the base housing (1). The first tactile control panel (21) includes a surface having a sliding section (215) formed by the plate, for touching and sliding with a finger in order to generate a sliding signal; and a processor (22) to receive the slide signal, wherein the processor (22) is in direct or indirect electrical connection with the motor (11) and the first tactile control panel (21) and receives the slide signal, and the processor (22) modifies the motor speed (11) in accordance with the sliding signal. The motor speed can be controlled without touching the first tactile control panel (21) continuously.
