FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices simulating the tobacco smoking process. Device for generating aerosol comprises a cartridge, the shape of which determines an elongated space for introduction, a housing connected to the cartridge. Heater is configured to heat the substance to generate aerosol. Stick recognition sensor is configured to transmit a signal corresponding to a stick inserted into the elongated insertion space. Resistance recognition sensor is configured to transmit a signal corresponding to the resistance of the heater. Controller is configured to determine reference resistance based on the elapsed period of time after use of the stick or resistance of the heater, monitored after use of the stick. Reference resistance serves as a criterion for determining temperature of the heater. According to the second version of the invention, the controller is configured to determine the reference resistance based on the time elapsed after the use of the stick, or the resistance of the heater monitored after the use of the stick, and with possibility of heater temperature determination based on reference resistance.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of gas flow and heat transfer from aerosol to stick.
