FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: mutual installation of the movable machine table is carried out against the mandrel, fixed in its spindle, with their contact via the force sensors mounted with three mutually perpendicular coordinate axes on the table, and the ball at the point with coordinates corresponding to the cutting force action. The load between the machine table and the spindle is created by their coordinated software moving to the predetermined amount in the direction of the mutual approach with controlling their relative movement, while measuring the forces acting on the ball at the said coordinate axes, and the actual rigidity values of the machine tool in the direction of the said coordinate axes, is determined on the basis of the measured force relationship to the corresponding deformation of the machine tool.

EFFECT: invention use allows to automate the process of determining the machine tool rigidity and to improve the measurement accuracy due to their conduct at the stress-strain state of the machine tool design.
