FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: determination of the steel grain size is performed depending on the processing regime and on the basis of the detected correlation (equation) between cyclic durability in the range 105-106 cycles and the steel grain size, its expected cyclic life is determined. The tests are performed without recording the parameters of the acoustic mission signals, according to which the moment of the fracture initiation is recorded and performing the subsequent monotonic stretching of the test material before destruction in order to open the fracture surface to analyze the fracture focus at the break surface using an electron microscope.

EFFECT: reduction of labour intensity and duration of fatigue life experimental determination.
