FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: method to control the light output level of LEDs connected via a diode bridge (2) to a constant voltage source (1) is implemented using a microcontroller (14) with an integrated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and includes setting of the required LEDs light output level (3) using an operator-controlled switch (7), periodic measurements of voltage at the sensor object and comparison of the measured voltage with a predetermined threshold value. Depending on the comparison result, the duty cycle of current pulses applied to the LEDs is changed. At that, the sensor object is a resistor (12) connected to a circuit break connecting the positive output (10) of the diode bridge to ground. The device for LEDs light output level control includes a constant voltage source (1), a diode bridge (2), LEDs (3) and a current pulse regulator (4). The device is provided with two electrical circuits, one of which connects the positive output (10) of the diode bridge to the ground through at least one resistor (12). Another electrical circuit connects one of the poles (6) of the constant voltage source to one of the inputs of the diode bridge and is equipped with a switch (7) having at least two positions. In one switch position, the DC voltage pole is connected directly to the diode bridge input, and in the other position - via the load resistor (8). In addition, the device is further provided with a voltage measuring device on a resistor (12) comprising a microcontroller (14) with an integrated analog-to-digital converter and an N-channel field effect transistor (15). The current pulse regulator contains a chip (26) of ZXLD1362 type, a choke (27), a Schottky diode (28), a resistor (29), and a capacitor (30).
