SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cassette seal, in particular for the wheel bearing layout the truck. Cassette seal includes the first and second ring (3, 4), which are approximately L-shaped cross-section, wherein the axial portions (3a, 4b), and the radial portions (3b, 4a) of the first and second rings (3, 4) are oriented approximately in parallel to each other, so that the interior space (6) is formed, wherein the sealing device arranged in the first ring (5) is given in the direction of the second ring (4) and between the radial portion (3b) of the first ring (3) and an axial portion ( 4b) of the second ring (4) there is a gap (9). On the side the axial portion side (4b) of the second ring (3) facing away from the inner space (6) there is a fixedly disposed additional element (22), which rises in the direction of the radial section (3b) of the first ring (3) over the axial portion (4b) of the second ring (4) with a projection (16). The projection (16) of the additional element (22), rising over the axial portion (4b) of the second ring (4) has a downward bevel (17) in direction of the second ring (4), at that, the bevel (17) with the radial portion (3b) of the first ring (3) forms a gap (9) and the projection (16) is formed mainly without edges. The invention provides higher sealing reliability.
