SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Transparent electrically conductive interference pigment comprises a TiO2-x layer, where 0.001 ≤ x ≤ 0.005. Pigment is obtained by heat treatment of a transparent platelet-shaped substrate having TiO2 layer on the outer surface. Treatment is carried out in gas phase with the addition of a reducing gas.

EFFECT: pigment is used in printing inks, plastics, paper, films, ceramic materials.
