FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to fixate intraocular lens (IOL) during its luxation in vitreous body. After moving the intraocular lens from the vitreous body cavity into the ocular anterior chamber on iris and placing lens, laser iridotomies are performed on each side of the lens at the same distance from the pupillary edge symmetrically to the lens reference element. A needle with a thread is led through each pair of iridotomies for fixating each lens haptic, bringing out thread ends outward on cornea through paracentesis formed in areas of lens fixation, and forming a stitch under the iris on each side of the lens. Each stitch is alternatively grasped under the iris, led into the ocular anterior chamber, put on each lens haptic and moved under the iris. In case of luxation in vitreous body of toric intraocular lens when moving it from the vitreous body cavity in the ocular anterior chamber for placing the intraocular lens, when centering the toric intraocular lens, its axial tags are oriented according to predeposited on the cornea marking.
EFFECT: method enables to prevent hemorrhagic complications, achieve more accurate location of the fixing lens haptics and thus the intraocular lens in the correct centered position after fixation by sutures.
