FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: method for reducing the load on a barrel during firing is characterized by that a projectile or a bullet is pre-imparted axial rotation by ejecting the projectile or the bullet under the gases pressure along the guide projections located inside the case. The ammunition for implementing the method consists of a projectile or a bullet with antifriction coating. On the surface of the projectile or the bullet, recesses are made at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the projectile or the bullet 2-8° for a rifled barrel. The guide projections inside the cartridge are formed congruently with the recesses on the surface of the projectile or the bullet. At least one compression girdle made of antifriction material is made on the projectile or the bullet.

EFFECT: provision for reducing the load on the barrel during firing in rifled weapons.
