FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition aerodynamically neutral spin stabilised projectiles. Projectile drive belt is made from steel and represents circular ledges separated by circular grooves, the belt being integrated with casing. Belt width does not exceed the width of similar copper drive belt of standard projectile. Circular ledge cross section features square or trapezoidal shape with profile angle not exceeding 40° and circular groove depth exceeding 1.05 to 2.5 times of drive belt work height. Note that maximum static force required to produce said steel vs that for copper drive belts does not exceed 1.2 ratio.
EFFECT: increased range of fire at projectile standard sizes.
