FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises irradiating hydrogen fluoride resonance infrared radiation with a wavelength of 2.419 microns, subsequent exposure of the optical or infrared laser radiation and the intensity exceeding 3×1013 W/cm2. The time between the effects of resonance and infrared laser radiation should not exceed the decay time of the vibrational state of hydrogen fluoride, and extracting the resultant positive ions.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of fluoride isotope separation.
