FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing high-quality synthetic oil from oil shale includes: the preliminary preparation of oil shale by crushing it, the removal of mechanical impurities through the sieves to the fractions to 0.5 mm and drying at a temperature of 80-150°C for 1-5 days; mixing the obtained oil shale with vacuum gas oil in a mass ratio from 1:10 to 10:1; introducing a catalytic additive comprising cobalt naphthenate and molybdenum hexacarbonyl in amounts of 0.5-25 g of catalytic additive per 1 kg of the mixture of gas oil and oil shale, the content of cobalt naphthenate in the catalytic addition being from 10 to 100 wt %, and of molybdenum hexacarbonyl - from 0 to 90 wt %; homogenizing the mixture obtained in the mixing device at a temperature below 60°C until obtaining a homogeneous mixture; hydrogenation at the temperatures of 300-550°C for 0.05 to 6 hours with overpressure of H2 at a volume ratio of H2 :the resulting mixture from 2:1 to 20:1; termextraction of the product obtained for 0.5-6 hours with using a solvent in the amount of 1-10 liters per 1 kg of the mixture; separating the extract from solids and the evaporation of the liquid part.

EFFECT: method provides a yield of light fractions and the reduction of sulfur compounds.
