FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: mesodiencephalic modulation (MDM-therapy) is performed, for which two electrodes are applied: an anode in the middle of the forehead, a cathode in the middle of the nape. Stimulation is performed in a pulsed mode with a carrier frequency of 10,000 Hz and a low-frequency range with modulation from 20 to 100 Hz, varying during the session. Current strength from 0.5 to 4 mA is chosen depending on the time of patient exposure tolerance. MDM-therapy course is 13 daily sessions lasting 30 minutes during 10 days. On the first 3 days, two sessions with an interval of at least 6 hours are conducted, next one session per day.
EFFECT: bone recovery and improved osseointegration of dental implants, pain syndrome reduction by improved circulation and oxygenation, reduced swelling, localization, and prevention of excessive postoperative inflammatory reaction, enhanced immunity, early epithelization.
