FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: marker is made based barium sulphate and a binder, which is a silicone rubber based composition that provides, after vulcanization, production of rubber markers with Shore A hardness up to 75 conventional units. The composition includes barium sulfate in amounts of 1.2-1.5 times the binder component content. X-ray contrast markers should preferably have rounded shape, e.g. spherical (spheres diameter from 2 to 4 mm). A capsule to diagnose constipation contains a gelatine shell with an incapsulated x-ray contrast marker based on barium sulfate and a binder, represented by a silicone rubber-based composition.
EFFECT: improved diagnostic accuracy.
