SUBSTANCE: device for charging a storage battery consists of a power source, a key, a voltage regulator, a current stabiliser, a control device, terminals for the battery connection, measuring current and voltage converters, a voltage setter and a current setter. A damping element is added to the device, which is connected between the output of the voltage regulator and the second input of the current stabiliser.
EFFECT: limiting the charging current surge when the device is turned on and the ability to unload its power elements - power source, key and current stabiliser.
