FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: welding is performed in two passes: first pass includes friction welding by rotary disc tool with thickness equal to that of tee rib. Note here that welding is carried out on backing with groove to make bulge on weld seam back. In first pass over the entire length of weld joint, high-quality root and groove are formed, groove width being equal to disc thickness. After said first pass tee-rib is fitted in said made groove to arrange the structure on back with fillets for second pass to be performed including friction welding by rod tool.
EFFECT: higher quality and strength.
