FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: to study the lipoproteins synthesis in the blood plasma in the evening before bedtime and in the morning on an empty stomach, content of triglycerides, high-density lipoproteins (HDL), low density lipoproteins (LDL) and very low density lipoproteins (VLDL), hematocrit and blood volume are determined, and then the coefficient (K) is calculated, which allows to assess the state of lipoproteins synthesis by the formula:,

where K is the lipoproteins synthesis coefficient, TGmor is morning triglycerides content in the plasma, TGeve is evening triglycerides content in the plasma, HDLmor is morning high density lipoproteins content of in the blood plasma, LDLmor is morning low density lipoproteins content in the blood plasma, VLDLmor is morning very low density lipoproteins content in the blood plasma, HDLeve is evening high density lipoproteins content in the blood plasma LDLeve is evening low-density lipoproteins content in the blood plasma, VLDLeve is evening very low density lipoproteins content in the blood plasma, BCVmor is circulating blood volume in the morning, Htmor is Hematocrit, reflecting formed elements proportion in blood in the morning, BCVeve is circulating blood volume in the evening, Hteve is Hematocrit, reflecting formed elements proportion in blood in the evening. If K is below normal values of 0.93-1.07 for men and 0.87-1.02 for women, the condition is evaluated as reduction of high and very high-density lipoproteins synthesis.

EFFECT: use of the method allows accurate assessment of lipoproteins synthesis.
