SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. The method for the study of cholesterol metabolism includes the determination in the blood plasma of the content of low and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (Cholldlc + Cholvldlc), high and very high density lipoprotein cholesterol (Cholldlc + Cholvldlc), hematocrit and circulating blood volume, in the evening before bedtime and in the morning on an empty stomach. Then the coefficient (C) is calculated, which makes it possible to assess the state of cholesterol metabolism. With a decrease in K indices in comparison with the normative ones: for men K equal to 1.12; for women - C equal to 1.20, evaluate the result as a violation of cholesterol metabolism.

EFFECT: invention improves reliability of the assessment of cholesterol metabolism.
