SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for evaluating protein synthesis function of liver. Determination is carried out in evening before bedtime and in morning on an empty stomach in blood plasma total protein content, hematocrit, volume of circulating blood and urea, followed by calculating a coefficient (K) by formula where K is state of protein synthesis function of liver; Mmorning is urea content in blood plasma in morning; OBmorning is total protein content in blood plasma in morning; OTKmorning is volume of circulating blood in morning; Htmorning is hematocrit in %, reflecting specific weight of blood corpuscles in morning; Mevening is urea content in blood plasma in evening; OBevening is total protein content in blood plasma in evening; OTKevening is volume of circulating blood volume in evening; Htevening is hematocrit in %, reflecting specific weight of blood corpuscles in evening. By assessing state of protein synthesis function of liver in males, it is considered to be low at K>0.75, and in females at K>0.80.

EFFECT: method provides more reliable assessment of protein synthesis function of liver.
