FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical seal of the rotating shaft with hydraulic gate contains a stable and axial fastening of sealing rings 4 and 3 partly with profiled surface 8 axial rolling o-ring 3 wedge converts segments 9 and radial grooves 10 sealing fluid for logon. The profiled part 8 working surface axial rolling ring 3, relative to its nonprofiled part 11 performed with ring groove 12 depth equal to the thickness of the hydrodynamic layer sealing fluid emerging from wedge 9 segments into the gap between working surfaces of axial-movable and stationary seal ring 3 and 4. To increase the heat circulating liquid slide radial grooves 10 3 ring cut through the entire thickness of the 3 rings, as well as unhealthy surface 3 rings done with Groove 13, which reduces the thickness of the profiled part of ring 3.
EFFECT: improvement of reliability of mechanical seal and increase its resource with minimal leakage through seal sealing fluid through the provision of unloading the contacting surfaces of the sealing rings from the axial efforts.
