FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods of disease control when storing vegetable roots. The method of pre-sowing treatment of carrot seeds provides for the treatment of carrot seeds with enrichment culture of rhizosphere bacteria Pseudomonas sp. isolated from the coprolites of earthworms Eisenia foetida and adsorbed on the surface of the natural clay mineral glauconite. The enrichment culture of bacteria Pseudomonas sp. is grown in King B liquid medium to a titer of 109 cells/ml. The clay mineral glauconite is ground before use to dust fraction. For adsorbing the bacteria Pseudomonas sp. the said components are mixed on the surface of the glauconite particles in a weight ratio of 2:1.
EFFECT: proposed method pre-sowing treatment of seeds provides increase in merchantability and storability (preservation) of carrot roots.
