SUBSTANCE: device (1) for feeding liquid additive (38) comprises a reservoir (2) for storing liquid additive (38), a suction point(3) wherein liquid additive (38) can be sucked from the reservoir (2) by the pump (4) of the device (1), a filter (5) which closes the suction point (3), at least partially delimits an intermediate space (6) between the filter (5) and the suction point (3) and separates the intermediate space (6) from the inner space (7) of the reservoir (2). The filter (5) has a surface (8) of the filter with an upper edge (9) and a lower edge (10), wherein the upper edge (9) and the lower edge (10) are spaced in the vertical direction (11) from 30 mm to 80 mm apart, and the suction point (3) is positioned at most 5 mm below the upper edge (9) in the vertical direction (11).
