FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method of induction of immune response against a porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), reduction of clinical symptoms associated with PCV2 infection severity, or prevention of PCV2 infection and immunogenic composition for conduction of stated methods are proposed. Proposed immunogenic composition comprises 4 micrograms to 200 micrograms of recombinant protein expressed from open reading frame 2 of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2 ORF2).
EFFECT: methods and immunogenic compositions are effective and safe in course of pigs' vaccination, and can be used in veterinary medicine.
